Neill Borowski
Neill
Borowski joined
The Press of Atlantic City
on July 1, 2009 as the media
company’s executive editor
and content director. He
oversees all news content in
the newspaper and on the Web
site,
PressofAtlanticCity.com.
Before
joining The Press, Borowski
was managing editor of the
Democrat and Chronicle
in
Rochester, NY for
three years and before that
was assistant managing
editor/local news for the
Indianapolis Star.
Borowski
is no stranger to
New Jersey – he lived
in
Cherry Hill for 21
years and commuted to
The Philadelphia Inquirer,
where he held a variety of
reporting, editing and
management positions. Two of
his three children graduated
from
Cherry Hill East High
School.
His
reporting specialties
included economics, data
analysis and
telecommunications. He
joined The Inquirer’s
business news staff in 1983
to cover the break-up of
AT&T and its
Bell System telephone
companies. While at
The Inquirer, he won
the Goldsmith Prize for
Investigative Reporting from
Harvard University
and was a finalist for a
Pulitzer Prize.
Borowski’s
emphasis at The Press of
Atlantic City continues to
be on deep watchdog
reporting in print and
online. He also is working
with a new digital team to
build The Press’ Web site
into a continuous, breaking
news operation.
