Holiday Gathering
An Enchanting Russian Winter Holiday Celebration

 The annual Public Relations Council of Greater Atlantic City holiday luncheon was held at the Red Square. A vodka expert from Sobieski Vodka was on hand to recommend the perfect vodkas for the holidays. We experienced the frozen vodka bar and the one-of-a-kind Vodka Locker, with more than 175 frozen vodkas.PRC members and guests brought new toys for donation to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.

  • Program: Radio and PR/Marketing: A Perfect Pairing

In November, we learned why radio is a great medium for promoting your product or service or calling attention to your event or news item. We heard from Dave Coskey, veteran publicist and marketer who recently was named president of Longport Media, and his colleague, Joe Croce, vice president of sales of Longport Media. We also hear from the news and promotion sides of Townsquare Media: Eric Scott, vice president of news; Zoe Burdine-Fly, Regional Vice President and Fran Northridge, Senior Account Executive and Regional Sales Manager.

We live in a world of brands. From the cars we drive, to the businesses we frequent, and even the food we buy, we are brand conscious consumers. But as marketers, it can be challenging to differentiate ourselves, our products, and our businesses among all of the competing brands. Program: The Inside Scoop on The NextGen Aviation Park in EHT

Ever since they broke ground on the Aviation Research and Technology Park (ARTP) in Egg Harbor Township, it’s been the most talked about project around. The ARTP will be home to a state-of-the-art research facility that will meet current and future demands of the nation’s air transportation system. The 58-acre site will be the new home for thousands of technical jobs and be a major booser for the region’s economy.

We’ll hear from the gentleman at the helm of the NextGen Airpark - Executive Director Ronald J. Esposito, Executive Director for the ARTP was the PRC's April program speaker.

Recent legislation signed by Governor Christie, established the Atlantic City Tourism District and set an expanded role for the CRDA.

Tom Carver, Former Executive Director of the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) gave us the ‘inside scoop’ about developments in Atlantic City and what he hopes the future will hold.

Program: The Five Things Atlantic City Must Do Immediately to Survive - Public Relations and Casino consultant Wayne Schaffel addressed the PRC's first meeting of the new year. 

Wayne Schaffel, former Atlantic City and Nevada casino marketing executive, and now president of his own consulting firm, Public Relations Network, suggested things Atlantic City must do immediately to save an industry, a city, and state-wide programs.

Speaker Highlights:
1. Invest in the airport. This is the first action we should take and the most important.
2. Provide incentives for Fortune 500 companies to locate in Atlantic County
3. Lower the gaming age to 18.
